A monthly curation of resources, opportunities, and creative inspiration for founders and creatives building community with intention.
Hey friend,
Hope summer has been treating you well. There’s something magical about this season that invites us to lean into play, connection, and joy.
Yet, as professionals, creatives, and founders, it’s easy to forget that inspiration often begins with wonder. We become so focused on the next project or goal that we forget to simply be and celebrate how far we’ve already come.
This month, I’m sharing a few resources, opportunities, and creative sparks to support where you are and what you’re building.
IN THIS ISSUE
Community Reflection: Support That Builds
Collaboration Board: A free career-development opportunity for Brooklyn residents
Community Calendar: Intentional networking, restorative leadership, and women in cybersecurity
On My Radar: A tool for turning one idea into a full content plan
Creative Spark: Lessons from creator entrepreneurship and Reset & Chill
COMMUNITY REFLECTION

Support That Builds
August marks National Black Business Month, a celebration of the Black entrepreneurs whose ideas, businesses, and bold visions continue to shape our communities. Next month, turn recognition into meaningful support by purchasing from, booking, or recommending a Black-owned business to someone in your network.
Here are a few businesses worth supporting this month and beyond:
HealHaus: A Brooklyn-born wellness space centered on movement, mindfulness, and collective care.
Golde: A family-founded health and beauty brand making everyday wellness feel more accessible.
BLK & Bold: A specialty coffee and tea company grounded in community impact.
The Lit. Bar: An independent Bronx bookstore and wine bar creating space for reading, gathering, and culture.

ON MY RADAR
The Content Repurposing OS
Brandon Smithwrick’s free Content Repurposing OS helps turn one strong piece of content into a fuller distribution plan.
The takeaway: Repurposing shouldn’t mean copying and pasting the same idea everywhere. Adapt it to fit how people engage on each platform while keeping your voice and perspective at the center.
CREATIVE SPARK
A few things that sparked my thinking and creativity this month:
Building Something That’s Yours
One lesson I carried from Jayde Powell’s Chronically Online Social Media Summit: sustainable creator careers aren’t built on virality alone. They’re built through ownership and content that informs, inspires, entertains, or creates real value for the people you serve.
What Reset & Chill Reminded Me About Community
Reset & Chill invited us to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with nature through art and play. It reminded me that meaningful community isn’t defined by headcount - it’s shaped by how intentionally we create spaces where people feel supported, connected, and free to be present.

An Instagram Post Worth Studying
This post is a strong example of audience-first storytelling: it speaks directly to a specific person, clearly names what they’re navigating, and offers an easy next step.
A helpful reminder for creators and founders: The strongest content doesn’t try to speak to everyone. It helps the right people feel seen and understand exactly how your work can support them.
Let’s lean into the magic of summertime and stay open to the possibilities within our creative pursuits, even if that begins with celebrating the small wins as we prepare for the bigger ones.
Take what resonates, save what may support you later, and share this issue with someone building something meaningful. ✨
With love + intention,
Albrina M.
